Things You Can Do To Have A Wonderful Wedding

By David R Serrangton

A wedding is an event of supreme importance to its participants. The entire point and purpose of a wedding is to be as memorable as possible; planning a wedding takes a great deal of effort and care. In this article a few ideas will be presented that might help make a wedding more memorable, and easier to carry off.

When you are choosing the right cake for your wedding, be sure to choose something that incorporates both of your tastes. There is nothing worse than a wedding cake that isn't enjoyed by both the bride and groom as it shows a one-sided nature to the marriage already and can be quite a disappointment for one of you.

You don't have to have a white or ivory wedding dress if you don't want to, so spice up your wedding day with some color! You can choose a pastel color that highlights your hair or eyes, or have bursts of a bright color like red highlighting the details on your dress.

When buying a wedding dress make sure that you get all the details of your purchase from the shop in writing. You do not want to quibble about how many alterations you are allowed or when the dress will be completed as you get close to the wedding. With an agreement in writing you can head off misunderstandings.

If you're planning on having a wedding in the summer, let your guests dress appropriately. No one should be expected to wear a heavy suit or tuxedo, so let them know on the invitation that casual business attire will be fine. You should also take it into consideration when choosing your dress, and your groom can also wear a lighter fabric.

Set a budget. Research how much you think you will spend in each wedding category and do your best to stick to it. If you go over in one area, reduce the amount of money you have allocated for another area. If you don't pay attention to what you are spending, you can get into monetary trouble very quickly.

If you are planning a wedding ceremony and reception that are infused with Tuscan or Mediterranean inspirations, opt for aromatic herbs and green plants in your floral arrangements and centerpieces. This is especially effective if guests are treated to a full meal at the reception. Attractive and fragrant choices include dill, marjoram, rosemary, and bowls of fresh lavender.

If you're going to allow children to attend your wedding, consider placing fun party favors at their table. These could be crayons and a coloring book, or toy cars, or a small game. This will entertain them between courses and during long speeches, keeping them from getting bored and causing trouble.

Consider guests who might have special needs when planning your wedding. Select a venue which is accessible to wheelchairs, for example, or a menu which includes kosher, halal, or vegan options. Always include an alternative for your champagne toast, like sparkling apple cider or even sparkling water with a twist of lemon.
